All In Together
All In Together VA is a public art project that engages groups of people from all different walks of life, ability, and age. In light of the current pandemic and the need for social distancing, we as a community have not been able to interact or come together in the way we are accustomed. By not being able to come together we are losing the vital sense of connection that keeps us functioning as a community. This project is designed to bring us together creatively. This particular All In Together is designed specially for Capital One. The art mural design is split up into coloring sheets and will be colored by Capital One associates and their families. Once colored, the coloring sheets will be assembled to create several 6′-5″ x 5′ murals that will be installed in a Capital One office location.
LET'S GET STARTED
All In Together begins as a series of 8.5” x 11” coloring pages that you can download or have mailed to your home and color. Participants will color each page in creative ways that represent their individual expression by adding color, additional lines or sketches, painting or collaging the pages. Once the sheets are completed, they are either mailed to the address provided on Pulse or scanned and uploaded on this website under the upload tab. These coloring pages will be placed together to create a 6′-5″ x 5′ mural.
The goal is to receive many different versions of each coloring page to allow for many different versions of the installation. More than one edition of the All In Together mural may be created – depending on how many coloring sheets are returned. After assembly of the coloring sheets, Hamilton Glass and Matt Lively will place each completed mural on a sturdy panel backing and then coat the pages with a clear acrylic to ensure the durability of the completed mural.
